BASIC INFORMATION

Project title: The Roman-Catholic Church of Virgin Maria Translation – the Dominican Church in Košice – facade renovation

The Dominican Church, an integral part of the Dominican Monastery, is the oldest church in Košice. It is a national cultural monument prioritized within the challenge CLT01, located in the rush area of the historical city center. The monument facade is partly very dilapidated. The church requires financial support from donors for its preservation.

Project activities: Completion of missing church facade components, facade consolidation up to the color paint, renovation of stone and plastic components located on the church facade and of the metallic forged cross located on the western facade wall.

Project target group: All church visitors will favor the project outcomes – the religious, tourists, citizens of Košice, the region and foreign guests
